Elegant hair like cornsilk that flows in wisps
heavenly to touch: will jolt ire from a darkened
corner: kiln the porcelain that pricks beneath
the surface: no harm to be found: walk under
the shade of certain nuptials: though sordid
tongues have no equal: carnivorous beings
walk with the anarchy: hear the trilogy call
her name
Red Wolf Journal Spring 2014, and a fresh start

Pamela, I have read your poem a few times and feel inept to interpret it. I have come to the conclusion that I am a pretty literal person oftentimes. I do especially like the image "elegant hair like cornsilk that flows in wisps heavenly to touch." I am wondering about the 'trilogy.' Thinking of the title of the poem, I am wondering if the trilogy is 'Father, Son, and Holy Spirit' or if I am waaaayyy off based.
ReplyDeleteThe first line and a half are heavenly, but the rest sounds like the Devil. You made fanstastic choices with your words!

ReplyDeleteIt is ok to be literal. And no you are not off base at all.
Pamela
Diane,
ReplyDeleteThat pretty much sums it up!

your words are deep and valid,
Glad to have her name called and heard in the end...
Jingle, thanks, as it should be.

So deep, and your use of words is inspired. Flaubert himself would be impressed! By the way, in your header photograph - is that you? Just wondering:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Weasel!
