if you turned me inside out what would you find?
well you would see the pain I have endured
living here and knowing a few fucked up people
again you would see the love I’ve known
tears cried, smiles and laughter shared
if you were to turn me inside out
you would see I am made of flesh and bone
and nothing more
let’s take a walk in the park together
because the weather is just delightful

ReplyDeleteHi Pamela,
ReplyDeleteImagine my surprse at being visited by Flaubert...
I checked out 1, 2 & 3 as well - all enjoyable reads. I like your taste in music.

ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful meeting people of like mind.
Thanks for stopping by.

Stan,
ReplyDeleteThe reason for naming him Flaubert was because he looks a writer doesn't he? lol
Pamela
flaubert looks sweet =)
ReplyDeleteLucychili,
ReplyDeleteHe is the coolest dog I have ever owned. Just a delight!
Pamela
I like the very straight-forward interpretation of this prompt. Getting past all of the self-deceptions, we're just flesh an bone and touched by the simple things, like a stroll in the park.
ReplyDeleteFrancis,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice comment. I feel exactly the same.
Pamela
I like that. Your last lines turn the whole poem inside out too.
ReplyDeleteInside
ReplyDeletea feisty
terrier
a little warrior
that fronts up
for battle

Sheila,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice compliment.
Pamela
Rall,
ReplyDeleteOk, maybe I don't quite understand what you are exactly saying here. Or maybe you know me way to well ;)
