Words day #17 PAD november chapbook challenge—tell me why ...

Tell me why …
Is the depression I feel,
ever increasing with each,
move I make.

I pick up a pen, when I should
use a pencil.
Erasers are invaluable, at times
like these.

Each key I strike creates a paradox,
that only I can read.
Its meaning left misunderstood.
Its contents pushed to the boundary.

Words smear across pages and
the screen becomes mixed up,
as the words fall off, onto the floor.

I bend and flex,
attempting to pick them up,
So they make some sense.

  1. Pamela, I could write a companion piece to this one. Sigh. I'm still searching for my idea though. Eventually one will come. I like 'erasers are invaluable.' They sure are! And I enjoyed picturing words falling onto the floor.

  5. I totally know how this goes. Well, the word-bending and rearranging, anyway. I've learned how to chase the depression away. Thankfully.
